The Lacey Township Office of Emergency Management is currently monitoring the progress of Tropical Storm Hermine and the expected impact on our area. Current models and reports are showing a High Confidence for moderate coastal flooding and erosion possibilities through Monday night.
Heavy rain is expected beginning on Saturday and continuing until sometime Monday with accumulations for our area in excess of 3 inches.
Winds in excess of 39 mph are expected, with the strongest winds occurring between Saturday night and Monday morning.
The overall rainfall and winds will be dependent on the track of the storm, which we shall continue to monitor and update as information becomes available.
At the current time the Lacey Township Office Of Emergency Management would suggest residents take precautionary action, as for any weather event, such as cleaning your gutters, bringing in light objects or tying them down to prevent them from becoming projectiles in high winds and parking your vehicles off the street or if needed moving them to higher ground.
